Collateral Management is a secure service offered by Colletaral Management Service SA (CMS), an affiliate of the Cotecna Group, to financiers. Collateral Management agreements are established to permit inventory owners to delegate legal and physical control of storage facilities holding their goods, to CMS. After inspecting the cargo, CMS issues a warehouse receipt (WHR) covering the stocks, usually in the name of a lender. CMS cannot release the goods without a release order from the lender. The goods are then eligible collateral security for a loan. In addition, with Vestalis™, our online collateral management system, financiers can keep track of loans in place, on a daily basis.
